Use a deliberate target
Suppose you choose a target of 100 matching Easy Fit pants and already hold 10 usable matching pieces. This is your chosen stock target, not a recommendation for a child or a forecast of changing frequency. The selected offer contains 42 pants per whole retail pack.
Subtract matching usable pieces
The additional requirement is 90 pieces. Three whole packs add 126 pieces, giving 136 in stock and 36 above the chosen target. A 2.142857 pack purchase is not assumed to be offered. The tool shows the surplus instead of hiding the extra pieces caused by the complete purchase unit.
Round to complete selected packs
If held stock already meets the target, the additional order is zero. On the whole-pack basis, both target and held values must count packs. Different sizes, formats or versions do not automatically count as matching just to reduce the calculated quantity.
Read the surplus and practical limits
The result does not reserve inventory or override seller limits. It also does not predict growth, expiry, days of use or personal fit. Decide whether that exact matching quantity meets your purchase plan and current storage conditions before buying more than you intended.
Apply it to the selected purchase
If the 10 pieces already held are a different size or version that does not meet your chosen requirement,do not count them as matching merely to lower the calculated order. The matching rule is deliberate, not automatic.
